9 Year Anniversary Party featuring Jake (Psyjacked) 'n Dean at The Machine

After our November and December break we are strapping on our orthopedic dance shoes and polishing our ear horns for this month's edition of Psyforia. 2012 marks our 9th year running and we're glad the home is letting us stay out late for this sock hop. We are happy to have Psyjacked and Dean riding in on a fancy jet aeroplane from San Francisco to drop the numbers on the gramophone. So pack extra Sanka and join us in celebrating our 9th year!

Label DJ for PsyBooty Records, O.G. member of the Sonic Beating DJ Collective and co-creator of Changmian Productions. A purveyor of the Psy-Trance sound since 1996, Dean helped establish the Psy-Trance community in Boston with Changmian's weekly psy-events; Swell, Translation, Samsara, Anitya, and the annual Cape Cod Beach Parties. After 10 wonderful and strange years of organizing and DJing events in Boston, Dean relocated to San Francisco to work on PsyBooty Records with long time friend & collaborator, David Justin. Now he can be found DJing psy and non-psy events throughout the SF bay area, showcasing styles ranging from full-on and prog-psy to psy-breaks and electro.

::Psyjacked::
(Sonic Beating/Changmian) San Francisco
Psyjacked found his psy-trance calling at Changmian’s "Samsara" in the spring of 2001. First attending as "something to do" on a Wednesday night in Boston, he re-united with college friend, Dave Henshaw, and immediately became a member of the crew. Out of the ashes of “Samsara” came two successful years of the weekly “Anitya” at the Vertigo Lounge where Psyjacked first hit the decks. With the merger of Changmian and Sonic Beating, Psyjacked was an early contributor to Psyforia, as DJ, deco team member, and stalwart lugger of equipment. However in 2005 Psyjacked relocated to the Andes of Peru where he played a number of full moon parties at 10,000+ feet (note to the reader, dance slowly at high altitude!). He now calls San Francisco home and represents the Sonic Beating/Changmian crew on the West Coast.
